PMDD Email Templates: Boundaries, Work, Doctors, and Support

Sometimes PMDD makes it hard to ask for the things we so desperately need. Here's a little guide for when you feel stuck. Copy paste if you have to.

    Work

“Hi [Manager], I manage a cyclical medical condition that flares 1–2 weeks monthly. Could we set flexible deadlines or remote options during that window? I’ll keep you posted on timing.”

    School

“Hi [Prof], I experience predictable monthly health flares. May I have one flexible due date per month and step-out permission if symptoms spike?”

    Family/Friends

“I’m in my low week and need a quiet evening. Rain check for Saturday?”

    Clinician

“I’ve tracked two cycles. Symptoms start 10 days before my period and lift within 1–2 days of bleeding. Can we discuss PMDD options?”
