There was a time, when I thought I'd never offer SeaPaint again.

And if I'm completely honest, the thought was devastating.

Watching your dream die in slow motion is a certain kind of grief.

 I felt the loss on a soul level.

It wasn't just my business I was losing. It was my community. Somewhere along the way, my job became my social life in many ways, as the gap between customers and friends continued to blur. 

Surrounded by thousands of talented and crafty women, part of me feared that the only reason they put up with me, was because they loved SeaPaint. It left me wondering....am I about to lose most of my friends too?

I was wrong about the friends. They stayed. Most did anyway. 

And thankfully, I was also wrong about never being able to open SeaPaints again someday. 

For those of you that have been here since the beginning, the way SeaPaints works these days may be barely recocognizable. Things have changed drastically since then. For me at least, health wise. 

I won't bore you with the details of my auto immune disorders or how they impact my quality of life, but what I will tell you is that operating a business with an auto immune illness, comes with a very unique set of challenges. 

And depending on the severity, running a business may not be an option at all. 

And for a long while, it wasn't an option for me.

I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but I've noticed a shift lately in my healing. 

For the better. 

More energy. Longer length of time between flare ups.

Each month isn't perfect, but it is remarkably better lately, although still unpredictable. 

But I don't want to constantly live in the fear of my next flare up. 

So I've decided to bring back SeaPaints in a way, that allows the unpredictablness to come as it may.

While we will not be opening our doors year round, I did come. up with something that I think will make us both happy.

Each month, you get 2 SeaPaint shades and I hang with you on my good days, painting, like we used to before life got weird and complicated. 

Because at the end of the day, I can almost always make 2 shades a month. And if I can't, then Jose can. 

Speaking of him. Little update....as we've made this transition, adpating to our new way of life, Jose has started his own business and will be spending the majority of his time focusing on it. But that's another story for another day.
