Professional Tips for SeaPaint Fabric Projects
    • The Softness Trick: For large furniture upholstery where you want maximum pliability, mist the fabric lightly with water before painting. If using on highly flexible items, you can mix a small amount of fabric softener directly into your paint layer. Use a very fine grit (400 or higher) to lightly brush the dry painted surface for a smooth finish.
    • Locking the Design: Once your fabric design is completely dry to the touch, heat-set the paint to make it permanent. Iron the reverse side of the fabric on a medium, no-steam setting for 3 to 5 minutes with a protective cloth barrier.
